How it works

Add to cart, check out, and the groceries are at their door.

Ordering a hamper works like any online shop. The one difference: the delivery address is your parent’s, not yours. Pay on your own, or collect the family’s shares first and place one order.

01

Choose a hamper and add it to your cart

Five hampers, R299 to R1,199.

Set the quantity if you’re sending more than one, then add it to the cart.

An order ships to one address, so if you’re sending to more than one parent, place a separate order for each.

02

Check out, shipping to your parent

Your details go in the billing fields. Tick Ship to a different address and enter your parent’s street address, suburb, city, province and postal code, plus a contact number for the driver.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from that address. Use the order notes field for gate codes, landmarks or the best time to deliver.

03

Pay by card or EFT

Card payments and instant EFT are processed securely by our payment provider. International cards are accepted, so family abroad can place the order themselves.

Splitting the cost? For now, collect the shares first and one person checks out. Paying separately is coming to the Kini app.

04

Order confirmed, then delivered

You get an order confirmation by email straight away, and a second email when the hamper is dispatched.

Hampers ship from same day – 2 working days.

Forward the confirmation email to anyone who contributed it lists exactly what was packed and where it is going.

Coming soon: The Kini App

Nobody has to carry it alone. Web app currently in testing

Splitting the cost is moving into the Kini app, where the whole family can fund a hamper together instead of one person paying and chasing everyone afterwards.

Create a care group for a parent and invite siblings and relatives, wherever they live.

Split a hamper evenly or set a different amount per person, according to what each can give.

Let each person pay their own share directly no one fronting the money and collecting it back.

Watch the hamper fund fill up, with automatic reminders going to whoever still owes.

See a shared record of who contributed what, and what has already been taken care of.

Set a hamper to repeat monthly and keep the same split running in the background.
